and here’s to you, dreaded winter, with all your spine breaking, spirit splitting, icy wonderment. there’s still much beauty to be found in your frozen folds… if only i can get my arse out from under my covers long enough to light the fire that makes it warm enough to get meself dressed and out the door to greet you and hate you and still be happy to be alive.

i imagine this photo to be a very bold “i love you” note. said better than anyone could verbally express.

Here is my inspiration of the day/season. someone to get me motivated to explore the chilling snow swept landscapes. A reminder yet again that beauty lay in all things, even those for which we might have a strong distaste. I also love the haunting ghosting, reminds me of Birney Imes (one of my all time favorites).
